In all the busyness of life, there is still only one thing necessary. Our invitation is to make the Lord our Refuge.
“But the man who makes the Lord his Refuge will inherit the land and possess My holy mountain.”

Maddie has found a big, bright, yellow bucket that we keep some of the girls' toys in. It's big enough to fit my head in it [any remarks along this line will be treated as an act of war]. She is holding it up to her face and singing into it and then laughing ... apparently it sounds funny. Then she peeks out at me to see if I'm hearing the same thing she is ... singing in the shower isn't far off. Ah, the joy of discovery.

that's adorable. i just finished scrolling through your pictures, and they're so good! Amy looks so absolutely beautiful and really happy. Seeing the way she looks at and hold her babies reminds me why I'm so happy that you guys are having another one. It might be hard now because of life issues causing stress or whatever, but that will seem like nothing when your kids are grown, in love with Jesus, and changing the world through their lives. The more people like that you add to the world, the better. Besides, people have survived in worse conditions, right. You will get through any hard times with greater treasure than you headed into them with. So, I'm ONLY happy for you and your family. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. (By the way, my FAVORITE pictures are the ones that show how happy Amy is, the one where you're kissing the head of one of the girls, the ones of Madeline in her cool orange wrap and matching hat, and the ones where Kayla is playing the the blanket tassels and the blue color in the blanket match her striking blue eyes perfectly!) So, so great. Do you guys have a live-in professional photographer? Truly amazing shots full of life.
