In all the busyness of life, there is still only one thing necessary. Our invitation is to make the Lord our Refuge.
“But the man who makes the Lord his Refuge will inherit the land and possess My holy mountain.”

Free Bird
We put Kayla in a toddler bed last night. We also bought a "princess potty" that looks like a throne and plays magical music every time she makes a royal contribution.
She's not sure about either one yet.
This morning we found that she had given her sister a few books for morning reading ... only, Maddie is more interested in eating the books than reading them. She may be part gerbil.
Kayla can crawl in and out of her bed at will, but this morning she kept the habit of saying, "Out ... please," which we really appreciate. I wonder how long it will take her to figure that she has graduated from cooped-chicken boot camp to the free-bird sorority.
Oh, what joy (and discipline) awaits. With great freedom comes great responsibility: when you get out of bed in the mornings, please don't feed books to the gerb... um, sister.

could you please tell me where you bought the potty? I may need to have one imported.....
Kristi,
This isn't the actual seat we got, but there are twenty styles to choose from out there. Ours was from Target or Walmart. We are having her sit on it several times a day so she can get comfortable with it and learn that it's not a scary chair; she sits in it every time one of us has to use the restroom. In about a week or two we'll start actually having her use it. Wish us luck. And no stomach flu.
Josh
How nice to imagine you all pottying together....ah, family values. :o)
