Graduated high school in ’96 and joined the Air Force a little while later. Met Amy while I was stationed in California (she lived in Missouri) and we dated almost the entire four years I was in the military. We married in February of 2002 and made Kansas City our home. We are missionaries at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP.org). I play drums at IHOP–KC, but spend the bulk of my professional time writing and editing. Currently I am the lead editor for IHOP–KC (part-time), and have edited or ghostwritten about eight books. I am in school full-time for Nursing so I can finance my hobbies of writing, teaching, playing drums and being with my family. Amy and I have three girls, Kayla-Marie Ellen (4), Madeline Lily (3), and Olivia Anne (16 mos.), and one boy, Samuel Michael (9 mos.). I love meat, desserts, and all things Macintosh, but I only eat two out of those three. I sometimes play the devil's advocate just to force myself to look in the mirror. I endeavor to make the Lord my Refuge in all of life. You are invited to do the same.
