Olivia's Surgery Complete

Olivia's surgery is complete. She had a shunt put in about the diameter of a pencil, and it took about an hour. She will have a bit of time to recover (three days to be out of the "critical" timeframe). Then she will have up to 2 weeks to be fully recovered.

Thanks for praying for her.

You guys are great!

Thanks for the updates, we will continue to pray from the Emerald City (Seattle).

I was sent here from my blog today--my baby girl was diagnosed at 3 days with a huge VSD, and her open-heart surgery was August 3rd, when she was 13 weeks old. She is now a month past surgery and is like a new baby--no meds, no more cardio appts. for a year! Her skin is pink, and she's finally gaining weight.

All this to say that as hard as it may seem, there IS life after surgery--and it will be here before you can imagine. Keep on holding on, and know that you are being prayed for by us; nobody knows exactly what anybody else goes through, but a new baby girl, a VSD, and open-heart surgery are all something we've gone through, and praise the Lord, we made it through!

I'll check back to see how your sweet baby girl is doing--she's beautiful:)

Great news Josh. I'm so glad the surgery went well. We are continuing to pray for Olivia and for a healthy recovery! God bless you guys. And how was the stir-fry?

Awesome--so glad that hurdle is over, but I know that there is a lot of prayer you will continue to need. My family sends their love & if you need anything (ie. extra clothes for the girls--we can help or $--my parents may be able to help). We love you & are thankful that God will continue to work. love, Jules

Shawn,

The stir-fry was great. You planning on opening a restaurant in Westport? Count on us as your guinea pigs if you are.

Sleepless,

Emerald City, huh? I always wondered where Dorothy was trying to get to.

Thanks for all your prayers. Our little girl can't even say thanks yet, but we sure can.

We would love to be able to share her miracle with you and all those who have stood with us in prayer. Continue with us. God still has opportunity to display more of His power, and we are asking that He does.

Thanks!

Josh
